Symbols2Write - Sentences is an educational application designed to facilitate the development of basic sentence structure in students with early language skills. Through a series of targeted activities, it emphasizes the introduction of essential sentence components—subject, verb, and object—using a standardized colour coding system that enhances comprehension.

The program incorporates Widgit symbols, engaging illustrations, and professionally recorded speech to support learners in understanding and utilizing fundamental language elements. The natural intonations and tone of the recorded prompts, complemented by positive reinforcement, aim to motivate and guide users effectively through each activity.

There are two distinct levels of activity within the application. Level 1 focuses on introducing the core elements of simple sentences, while Level 2 encourages learners to construct more complete sentences within a structured framework that builds on prior understanding.

Throughout the activities, students are rewarded with animations that serve to maintain engagement. Additionally, a printable certificate is available upon activity completion, providing a tangible recognition of progress.

Supplementary resources such as SymWriter 2 activities and a comprehensive teacher user guide are accessible for download from www.widgit.com, supporting practitioners in integrating this tool into their language development programs.
